China Construction (South Pacific) and Nanyang Technological University hold exchange series

On the afternoon of Sept. 15, China Construction (South Pacific) successfully presented a virtual lecture themed "Brief Introduction to Construction Quality Management," which doubled as an online exchange event between the company and Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Goh Peng Soon, senior manager of the Department of Quality Management, China Construction (South Pacific), delivered a lecture on the scope, principals, and applications of the ninth edition of Singapore's "Quality Management Systems."

Robert Tiong, associate professor at NTU, introduced quality management during construction process, and expressed his hope for more exchanges and cooperation with China Construction (South Pacific) in the fields of prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC) technologies and automated quality inspection in the future.

On the evening of Oct. 13, Rob Sanchez, head of the building information modeling (BIM) team of China Construction (South Pacific), was invited to give an online lecture to the master students majoring in project management on the applications and practices of BIM and integrated digital delivery (IDD) in the field of construction. The lecture lasted for about two hours.

Based on China Construction (South Pacific)'s experience in applying the technology, Sanchez introduced in detail the characteristics of BIM and its actual applications in the construction industry. He also elaborated on the specific content, advantages, and application scope of the IDD technology.
