Beijing recently announced 762 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that apply special, sophisticated techniques to produce unique and novel products.

Over the years, Beijing has accelerated efforts to nurture innovative SMEs, which have played an important role in promoting the city's high-quality development.

A total of 15 enterprises in Beijing's Future Science City have been selected as the specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products. They mainly focus on medium and high-end industrial sectors, such as advanced energy, advanced manufacturing, medicine and healthcare, and the new generation of information technologies.

Among these enterprises, the centrally-administered state-owned enterprises have played a leading role in pushing forward development, and private high-tech companies continue to inject new vitality into innovative development.
