The 2022 Beijing Digital Economy Experience Week was launched on Wednesday, presenting all-round interactive experience of digital technologies to residents in the city.

As a warm-up event for the 2022 Global Digital Economy Conference, the experience week consists of three sections featuring digital consumption, knowledge sharing and digital arts, and presents over 100 digital economy scenarios across the city.

A digital consumption festival also kicked off alongside the experience week, during which the city will launch a series of online and offline activities, including special promo events as well as sales events that use livestream and AR technologies, so as to drive consumer spending through digital technologies.

From July 20 to 26, the organizers will introduce several themed events targeting children and elder citizens, promoting information about digital technologies and their use scenarios in everyday life.

During the same period, residents can also experience the beauty of digital arts enabled by VR technologies in several museums, galleries, and other art spaces.

According to an official from the municipal bureau of economy and information technology, the experience week is part of Beijing's efforts to become a benchmark city in digital economy and a global consumption center.
