The 27 company representatives visited DAS SOLAR Co., Ltd, Juhua Group Corporation, and other major local companies during their trip. An executive of Japan's Shizuoka Bank said it was the first time for him to visit the city, and he looked forward to the trip and investment talks.

Located in western Zhejiang province, Quzhou enjoys a highly pro-business environment. The city has fostered its competitive edge in a number of industries, such as new materials, new energy, integrated circuit, smart equipment, healthcare, and special paper-making.

Japan has been a good economic and trade partner with Zhejiang. By the end of June, Japanese companies, including Ferrotec and Yamaha, had set up 3,604 firms in the province.

Ferrotec (China) was established by its Japanese parent company in 1992 in provincial capital Hangzhou and now boasts a diverse portfolio of businesses. It opened a factory in Quzhou's Changshan county in 2014 on a trial basis, and has entered its third phase of development after eight years. The company is expected to bring in more than 1 billion yuan (US$146 million) in sales in 2022.
