China's pickup truck sales edged down 0.5% year on year in the first half of this year (H1), industry data shows.
During the period, a total of 259,000 pickup trucks were sold in China, within which the sales of petrol-powered pickup trucks rose 33.7% year on year to 71,000 units, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Combined sales of China's top five pickup truck manufacturers reached 203,000 units in the same period, dipping 0.3% year on year.
The figure accounted for 78.2% of the country's total pickup truck sales, up 0.1 percentage points from the same period of 2022, the data reveals.
