The Sports Services section, one of the nine thematic exhibitions at the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), is set to commence at Beijing's Shougang Park on Sept. 2, according to a press briefing on Aug. 14.
Ge Jun, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, stated that this section is designed to foster cooperation in the sports services trade and serve as a conduit for the international sports industry. He described the thematic section as an all-encompassing assembly that includes exhibitions, forums, trade matchmaking, and supplementary events. These components will center around key themes: internationalization, professionalization, market orientation, and technological integration. Spanning an area of 13,200 square meters, the section will feature six sub-exhibitions, highlighting services in smart sports, sports consumption, ice and snow sports, sports equipment manufacturing, sports events, and sports integration.
At present, 119 enterprises and institutions have confirmed their physical presence at the exhibition. Notably, 40% of these participants are among the world's Top 500 and leading industry enterprises. Additionally, 353 enterprises and institutions have indicated their intent to join online.
The event will host over 10 forums and related activities. These include the International Sports Services Trade Development Conference, the Digital Sports Forum, the Swimming Industry Forum, and the Sports Equipment Manufacturing Development Forum. The agenda also features industry matchmaking sessions, the Industry TOP Awards Selection, and outcome announcement conferences.
A standout feature of this year's exhibition is the display of intelligent fitness equipment and innovative technologies tailored to public fitness. GF Fitness, a prominent digital sports and health service provider known for delivering digital physical training and rehabilitation services to China's national team, plans to set up an outdoor smart fitness room within the trade fair's outdoor exhibition area. This facility will provide the public access to 13 varied physical fitness evaluations.
