Chengdu ranking 4th in the competitiveness indexes of Chinese MICE cities

From the 108th National Sugar and Wine Fair to the 19th Western China International Fair (WCIF), the 26th Chengdu Motor Show, the 81st World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), Chengdu, aiming at an international MICE capital, once again ushered in a glorious moment on October 26, ranking fourth in the competitiveness indexes of Chinese MICE cities.

During the event, a variety of activities such as sharing of innovative achievements and exchange of government-enterprise cooperation along the whole industrial chain, and cross-regional cooperation matchmaking along the whole industrial chain, were also held. More than 300 representatives from MICE cities and key MICE enterprises in China gathered to seek industrial cooperation and share urban progress.

In recent years, Chengdu, aiming at an international MICE capital, has been committing to the industry's ecosystem agglomeration, element and resource sharing, internal and external market collaboration, and basic function optimization, and city branding, to continuously enhance the industry's basic capacity and strengthen its industrial chain. 

By 2025, Chengdu aims to hold over 1,200 major MICE events, with a total exhibition area of over 14.5 million square meters.
