The design of the stations integrates various cultural elements such as mountains, water, fields and gardens to create a subway line that fully highlights the cultural characteristics of Chengdu that emphasizes nature and harmony.
The architects apply such elements as water wave lines, plant patterns and cultural symbols to echo the theme, as well as other art works related to natural themes and traditional Chinese colors such as blue and indigo to create a comfortable and pleasant space for passengers through effective collocation and combination with space art installations.
In the stations, some barrier-free designs are widely used to improve traveling experiences of minors, elderly and physically challenged passengers.
