Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group is set to inaugurate its newly completed Beijing headquarters early next year, welcoming over 14,000 employees to its new workspace.
Located in the northern district of Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park, Alibaba's Beijing headquarters is a key project for the city. Initiated in December 2019, the campus sits on a land of about 120,000 square meters, with 12 individual buildings covering a floor space of nearly 470,000 square meters in total.
The campus design, inspired by the layout of electronic chip circuits, features a futuristic and forward-thinking style, in line with Alibaba's technological ethos. This inspiration is evident in the park's landscape and axis system, seamlessly integrating the corporate area with the urban fabric.
In addition to the Beijing headquarters, the e-commerce juggernaut has a headquarters in Hangzhou, where the company was founded in 1999.
