A job fair was recently held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, where more than 200 enterprises and public institutions from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei offered about 7,000 job openings.
The job fair consisted of eight zones, including sections dedicated to innovative small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as employers in Tianjin and Hebei.
In the Tianjin section, enterprises in artificial intelligence and green development sectors attracted plenty of young people to learn about job details such as work locations, compensations and benefits, and career advancement opportunities.
Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei collaborated on providing a platform for employment, addressing the strong demand for jobs during the spring season. At the job fair, seven national-level career counselors offered free counseling services covering job selection, career planning, and resume optimization.
Apart from on-site recruitment, live-streaming of the job fair allowed more job seekers to interact with potential employers.
In 2023, Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei jointly organized 156 job fairs, according to Wu Xiaojun, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. The three regions aim to stay abreast of regional talent supply and demand dynamics, cooperate on integrated employment initiatives, and facilitate high-quality employment opportunities for a broader population, Wu said.
