The Beijing International Investment and Trade Conference 2024 commenced on Monday at the China National Convention Center, running concurrently with the ongoing 26th China Beijing International High-tech Expo.

Jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) and the Beijing Chamber of International Commerce, the two-day event attracted over 500 representatives from international organizations, foreign embassies in China, and investment institutions.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the global investment environment and cooperation opportunities at the conference.

This year's event primarily focuses on emerging fields such as future industries, the low-altitude economy, advanced manufacturing, and green finance, aiming to connect enterprises with resources, funds, and projects, said Wang Jingchuan, director of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion of CCPIT Beijing.

Additionally, the conference provides a platform for foreign embassies in China to showcase the charm of their countries. Representatives from Nigeria, Syria, and Germany promoted investment opportunities in their respective countries during the event.

Moreover, the conference features four negotiation sections, offering consulting and matchmaking services for enterprises to facilitate business cooperation.

Having the high-tech expo and the investment conference taking place concurrently fosters a collaborative environment that drives innovation and economic growth, the organizers said.
