"This is our second consecutive year at the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). We have brought one-third more physical exhibits than last year, many of which have been locally developed and manufactured for Chinese market demand, reflecting the company's emphasis on the Chinese market," Honeywell China President Yu Feng told China.org.cn in an interview at the expo, which concluded Nov. 30.

"We look forward to using this platform to promote a high level of openness to better demonstrate the company's progress in technological innovation, promoting the extension, transformation and upgrading of the industrial chain," Yu said.

"The expo provides us with a valuable opportunity to engage in technical exchanges with world-renowned enterprises, supply chain experts, as well as upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain," he added. "This allows us to explore opportunities to jointly build a low-carbon, flexible and resilient supply chain system that enables the development of new quality productivity in China."

During the five-day event, Honeywell showcased its supply chain solutions for industrial automation, energy transition and aviation. The showcase featured innovations in intelligent manufacturing, smart building technology, energy transformation and air transportation.

Honeywell was one of the first exhibitors to appear at CISCE during its inception last year.

Yu cited two main factors driving Honeywell's participation: China's market appeal and government efficiency, along with support from trade officials. "The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has long been a strong supporter of foreign enterprises, helping them better adapt to the business environment in China and promoting their business development," Yu said.

"Based on these factors, Honeywell participated in the first CISCE. We gained valuable experience and found it to be an excellent platform for introducing our products, services and technologies to a wider range of upstream and downstream customers. This platform provides us with valuable opportunities to communicate with customers, partners, governments and consumers," Yu noted.

"Our presence at the expo has attracted widespread media attention. The coverage has undoubtedly enhanced our brand awareness and influence," he added.

Yu noted that the expo delivered tangible results to enterprises by facilitating partnerships.

At this year's expo, Honeywell signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with GoldWind Green Energy (Jiangsu) to collaborate on Honeywell's eFiningTM methanol-to-jet processing technology and research green methanol-to-sustainable aviation fuel production. The two companies will explore expanding industry chain cooperation throughout Asia, according to Yu.

"We've noticed changes in the expo. This year attracted more exhibitors, with foreign enterprises accounting for about 30% of participants compared to over 20% last year," Yu said.

"It is worth mentioning that this year's expo pays special attention to industry chain segmentation, such as advanced manufacturing chains and green agricultural chains, to provide a more precise platform for exchange and cooperation among participants," Yu said. "We believe that the expo will provide and promote more cooperation opportunities for us in the future."
