The Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) has recently launched a series of initiatives aimed at optimizing the business environment and fostering high-quality development.
These measures focus on industrial chain development, future-oriented industries, professional services, and talent recruitment. For example, the BDA will build computing infrastructure with capacity exceeding 10,000 PFLOPS and provide businesses with over 1 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity.
The BDA will allocate 100 hectares each for new development and urban renewal, while providing more than 5,000 units of government-subsidized housing. Additionally, a new talent recognition system and "Yicheng Talent Card" program will be implemented to support workforce development.
Currently, there are 713 projects under construction or in the planning stages in the area, with total investments of 904.9 billion yuan (US$123.72 billion). This year, 452 projects are planned with an investment of 590 billion yuan.
New policies will target emerging sectors including new energy materials, next-generation automobiles, healthcare, and robotics. The district will release an updated version of its science and innovation measures to provide more specific support for these industries.
This year, the BDA plans to supply land for 72 projects, focusing on industrial system innovation, urban construction, and public service optimization, with a total land area of 370 hectares.
In collaboration with 11 fund management companies, the BDA will establish several investment funds to support the development of a modern industrial system. The fund system, which already exceeds 50 billion yuan, will continue to expand with the establishment of a second phase government-guided fund.
The fund system will provide comprehensive financial support to enterprises, covering all stages of development from seed funding to private equity.
