A salon on the theme of brain-machine interface (BMI) was held on Thursday by the National Torch Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ZGC).
BMIs are devices that translate neuronal information into commands capable of controlling external software or hardware such as a computer or robotic arm. BMIs are often used as assisted living devices for individuals with motor or sensory impairments.
Leveraging IQ Talk, an international exchange platform developed by the National Torch Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ZGC), the salon invited representatives from the academia, industry, and financial sector to engage in in-depth discussion on the development of the BMI industry and talent cultivation.
The salon featured a BMI frontier project exhibition area, where enterprises and universities presented their latest research findings in this sector.
In addition, an embodied intelligence innovation industrial park, the collaboration result of the first IQ Talk social event, was unveiled at the salon. The industrial park will focus on the future development of embodied intelligence, promoting the integration of key technologies and the implementation of application scenarios.
