Chinese home appliance maker Hisense is stepping up efforts to achieve breakthroughs in fundamental technologies and bolster the development of new quality productive forces.
The company is ratcheting up resources to make innovations in cutting-edge laser display technologies, while continuously promoting the high-end transformation of traditional home appliances, said Jia Shaoqian, chairman of Hisense.
The key to developing new quality productive forces lies in promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, he said, adding the upgrade and advances in the television industry have always been driven by innovative technologies, he added.
The company has recently unveiled its latest artificial intelligence-powered TV E8Q Pro, which is equipped with its self-developed AI imaging chips and a mini LED screen. It features enhanced image quality and human-machine interaction experiences.
Data from market consultancy Omdia showed that the shipment of Hisense TVs reached 29.14 million units in 2024, accounting for 14 percent of the global market share and ranking second in the world.
In the 100-inch and above TV market, the company took up for 58.8 percent of the global shipments last year, securing the top spot worldwide, the consultancy added.
