The Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone added 57 enterprises above the designated size in 2024, bringing the total number to 556 and continuing to inject vitality to the zone's high-quality development.
Industrial enterprises above the designated size refer to those whose annual principal business revenue exceeds 20 million yuan (about US$2.74 million). The newly qualified companies span key sectors including air cargo, high-end manufacturing, and cross-border e-commerce.
In 2024, the economic zone's management committee conducted over 300 in-person policy sessions to support enterprises and help them access services efficiently.
Among the newly qualified enterprises is Beijing Zhaijisong Express, a key logistics service provider, which focuses on warehousing, express delivery, and general freight transportation. The company reported a revenue of 73.17 million yuan in 2024, making it an above-designated-size enterprise.
"During our transition to above-designated-size status, the management team guided us step by step through the application process," said a representative from Zhaijisong.
Laikai Medical Equipment (Beijing) Co. Ltd. recently achieved the above-designated-size status as well. Specializing in high-end urological equipment, Laikai has evolved from an import-oriented business to one focused on in-house R&D and production.
The company generated 74.48 million yuan in revenue in 2024, meeting the threshold to qualify as an enterprise above designated size. "From the application we initiated in October to final approval in December, the management committee provided full support, helping us coordinate with district-level departments and ensure no delays at critical steps," said a company representative.
Looking ahead, the Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Zone plans to strengthen its full-chain support system to foster the growth of enterprises above the designated size. By enhancing policy support, securing key resources, and building an innovation-friendly ecosystem, the zone is committed to helping more SMEs scale up and thrive, according to a management committee official.
