The 2025 Chongqing International Coffee Trade Fair was held on Friday in Yuzhong district. Taking place alongside the Chongqing International Coffee Festival, the fair brought together over 100 enterprises from across the global coffee industry chain. Deals worth over 50 million yuan (US$6.85 million) were signed during the fair.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia. For the first time, the festival featured Colombia as the guest country of honor. The Colombian Embassy in China sent a delegation led by its Minister-Counselor to attend the event. Participating enterprises covered key segments of the coffee industry, including green bean trade, brand retail, and product packaging.

At the trade fair, Dr. Chen Zhenjia, secretary-general at the Asian Coffee Association, released a report on the development of the global and Chinese coffee industries. With clear demand lists and dedicated promotional sessions, the event helped streamline the supply chain and open up new market opportunities.

First launched in 2015, the coffee festival has grown from a local cultural event into a major international gathering. Backed by the city's strong logistics network through the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, Chongqing is positioning itself as a global coffee trade hub—connecting producers and brands worldwide, and fueling a more dynamic, resilient, and sustainable coffee industry.
