Three more members of staff with China Central Television's finance and economics channel CCTV-2 are being questioned over bribery allegations, it was reported yesterday.

Producer and financial manager Wang Shijie and two unnamed female staffers — an anchor and a director — are being quizzed, according to the Caixin magazine website.

CCTV-2 director-general and CCTV advertising director Guo Zhenxi and producer Tian Liwu were already being questioned.

Wang, who is in his 40s, was taken for questioning on June 6. CCTV staff said he was close to 49-year-old Guo.

China's Supreme People's Procuratorate said on June 1 that Guo and Tian are under compulsory measures, which could mean house arrest or detention.

Guo has worked for CCTV for 22 years and has been in charge of CCTV-2 and CCTV's advertising department for eight years.

In this latter period, Guo earned 2 billion yuan (US$320 million), according to Global People Magazine. It did not state the sources of his income.
