(02 Feb 2015)

• Respected H. E. Deputy Prime Minister Sok An,

Today, in the name of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, I have a great pleasure and privilege with the presence of H.E. Academician Deputy Prime Minister Sok An to preside over the Launching Ceremony of the book on "The Governance of China" written by H.E president Xi Jinping.

I still remember clearly that I also made a welcome speech during the unveiling ceremony of the Confucius Institute at Royal Academy of Cambodia presided over by H.E president Xi Jinping on 22 December 2009. I am extremely happy and honored that H.E. Academician Sok An be the moderator today.

It has been more than five years, under the guidance of H.E. Academician Deputy Prime Minister Sok An; together with the support from the Embassy of China to Cambodia and with good collaboration of the Jiujiang University that the Confucius Institute has become an importance center to promote educational and cultural exchange between the two nations, China and Cambodia. This institution has been considered to be milestone development of cultural exchange and good relation between Cambodia and China.

International Conference on "China-Cambodia Friendship" were organized four times already and the Launching Ceremony of the book on "Governance of China", written by H.E president Xi Jinping is the fifth one that has been organized by the Confucius Institute and the Research Group of Cambodia-China Relations of the Royal Academy of Cambodia.

The conference provides not only valuable opportunity for government officials and the Academia, knowledge on governance of China, but also serves as a forum to exchange ideas and experiences with experienced researchers from Cambodia China and Pakistan.

Respected delegates, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

I would like to express my profound gratitude to the Chinese Embassy to Cambodia for organizing and supporting the translation of the book on "Governance of China" written by H.E president Xi Jinping into Khmer in addition to the existing printed versions in English, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Japanese. I would also like to express my profound thank to Xizhi Bookstore for donating 530 books in English version and my thanks also goes to SEATEL for your support in this Ceremony.

Last, but not least, I would like to wish H.E. Academician Deputy Prime Minister Sok An and H.E. Bu Jianguo, the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia as well as distinguished guests attending this ceremony, to be blessed with the four Buddhist blessing of Longevity, Nobility, Health and Strength.
