Vendors started to reopen their stores in wholesale markets in south Beijing's Dahongmen area after the Chinese Spring Festival ended on Feb. 11. On Feb. 14, the Beijing business chiefs of seven such markets in neighboring cities gathered here to seek to accommodate the outgoing Dahongmen market as Beijing relaxes its non-capital-related functions and limits its population growth.

The seven business chiefs in Beijing, representing Baigong Hedao International (Hebei), Yongqing International Commercial Center (Hebei), Lecheng International Trade City in Shijiazhuang (Hebei), Cangzhou Mingzhu Commercial Center (Hebei), Xinji International Leather City (Hebei) and Zall E-Business Center (Tianjin), went into detail about their own strengths.

Two years' rent free, accommodating resident buildings and piloting export procurement are among the new measures these wholesale markets highlighted in order to get hold of the outgoing vendors from Beijing.
