Fifteen countries have officially confirmed that they will participate in the 2019 World Horticultural Exposition to be held in Beijing.

According to local officials, the infrastructure construction of the park started on Feb. 20, and 80 percent of the park's public landscaping work is expected to be finished this year.

Currently, a layout featuring "one center, two axis, three belts and several zones" has already been approved, and the design work of the horticultural village, public landscape, service facilities and other supporting programs have been completed.

The park's highest scenic point, 25-meter-high Tiantian Mountain, will be completed within 15 days.

Meanwhile, a preparatory group is contacting foreign countries through Chinese embassies to invite more countries to take part in the expo. Domestic provinces and regions are also welcomed to join.
