The president of Harbin No. 3 High School's Teaching Union taking over TEDx invited High-flyers with blooming thoughts

Harbin No. 3 High School's administrative hall is full of students and parents for a "blooming " TEDx program recently, which is a global live program. The organizer of this activity is Zhuowen Jiang as a license holder from this school. His classmate Annie Tan as a co-organizer, and vice president Xia Wu as a mentor. This activity is approved by the United States TED General Assembly. The world's intelligent transportation expert, Yinhai Wang, Australian psychology expert, Yi Shen, and the United States film director, Jianying Chen delivered wonderful speeches for the audience.

TED , a world-famous non-profit organization, specifically invited the forefront innovators and practitioners delivering 18- minute speeches, including Cameron, Hawking, Bill Gates and other celebrities. The organization founded TEDx similar with TED, and also invited some famous people with strange ideas to give 18- minute speeches. The Communist Youth League secretary of this school, Xiangui He, told the reporter that Harbin No.3 High school is the only one qualified high school that can hold TEDx activities in the Northeast in China. A TEDx conference is subject to the approval of the TED Conference Headquarter, and it has strict requirements for license holders. This year's TEDx event is the third one, but the guests' popularity and reputation has been greatly improved this year, which should give thanks to Zhuowen Jiang's great efforts.
Zhuowen Jiang is the founder and first president of Students Teaching Union. He, the president of American Debate Club, the Harbin champion of the second national high school students American Debate, the vice president of school news center, the first provincial prize of 2016 national high school physics competition, ... ... , has a lot of honors, but being a TEDx license holder is very important for him, because he has his excellent speaking ability, and his experience of teaching is very helpful.
Zhuowen set up Students Teaching Union, which was inspired by one talk with a barber. The barber said " Study is useless ." Zhuowen felt the shock of different kind of life value, and determined to set up the union to help those who have the ability to learn, but no care and effective help students to realize their dreams.
Zhuowen issued an initiative on the Internet to establish this union, and the participants increased from 30 to 200 in short time, so he was also called the "chief" of the union. They provide video lessons by QQ group and Wechat group for last year students in middle schools. They have been to Harbin No. 99 Middle School, Tieli No.5 middle school, and New Century middle school in Fangzheng County to teach nearly ten thousand students. With the help and support from the union, some children gradually show their learning talents. There is some good news about Bing Hu and other students in No.99 middle school have been admitted to Harbin No,3 high school or Harbin No. 9 high school in this new semester.
In March this year, Zhuowen's teaching experience helped him to stand out among thousands of competitors of applying for TEDx license, and he received the TEDx interview opportunity at last. The interviewer directly asked "How does he understand the TEDx?" Zhuowen's answer is ideas blooming. He thought TEDx should create a platform for thoughts blooming and ideals bursting out. Then interviewer asked "Who will be invited to TEDx ?" Zhuowen's answer was " There are a world famous traffic expert, a funny history teacher, and a lawyer." Thanks to his own excellent "resume" and quick response, Zhuowen Jiang won the favor and appreciation of the interviewers, and immediately got the "direct promotion" ticket. Zhuowen Jiang won the TEDx license.
The most difficult task after obtaining the license is to invite more well-known and authoritative speakers for Zhuowen. During his last summer vacation, he made a special trip to Seattle to find an expert in the field of intelligent transportation. Professor Yinhai Wang from Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of University Washington (Seattle) was found by Zhuowen at last. Professor Wang appreciated Zhuowen's passion, hard work and communicative skills, and gladly committed to return to Harbin to help out. Then Zhuowen with the help of the school invited Mr. Yi Shen, the Australian positive psychology expert, neurological language program senior executive, the United States hypnosis association certified hypnotist, and breathing meditation tutor, and Ms. Jianying Chen, the famous American director and screenwriter. These experts all prepared the speeches on "blooming " theme from personal self-regulation, enhancing the life in the future to the science and technology mode of human life, which are very useful and helpful for the listeners. This is what Zhuowen expected: "This TEDx is the brainstorming for speakers, but it is ideas blooming for listeners."
After the meeting, Professor Wang commented: "This TEDx conference from activities plan, activities preparation to the field operations are very good, so Zhuowen gave me a deep impression. He is very smart, and his English is fluent. He has the talent of being a leader, and has made contribution for the international cultural exchanges between Harbin and the world.
Bing Hu and his classmates has been applauding for Zhuowen Jiang through the internet having watched the TEDx conference. She remembered that Zhuowen Jiang's speech in No.99 middle school had showed his innovative thinking and enthusiasm, which has been inspiring her to work hard to enter the best high school in Harbin. She hopes to be a top student like Zhuowen, spreading knowledge, positive energy, and helping more children who need help eagerly.
I want to be a communicator of culture through teaching children and organizing TEDx, so that more young people can understand new ideas, new knowledge, and new information in the future. I will go along this road in my life." said Zhouwen Jiang.
