Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province have captured two suspects trafficking methamphetamine and seized 110.42 kg of the drug.
The border control detachment in the city of Pu'er uncovered the smuggling when they inspected two banana trucks. They seized 166 packages of methamphetamine.
Further investigation is underway.
Since the beginning of the year, local authorities in the China-Myanmar border city have set up a 24-hour drug inspection network stepping up checks on major road accesses, effectively curbing the inbound trafficking of drugs.
Yunnan is a major front in China's battle against drug crime, as it borders the Golden Triangle known for its rampant drug production and trafficking.
