Beijing publishing houses offer free digital content to public

Seventy-six publishing houses in Beijing have opened up their digital libraries, putting free online courses, digital music, e-books, and audiobooks on the internet for the public.
With abundant digital teaching materials, the Beijing Publishing Group has offered free e-books and online courses to teachers and students on its Jing Ban Cloud (http://www.jingbanyun.com/), “yuduoketang” and “fc-edu” WeChat official accounts. People can also enjoy Chinese traditional operas by downloading its app.
Chinese tech companies and educational institutions, including NetEase and China Bookstore Publishing House, are all offering free online or livestreamed courses and education services to students. The latter provides a free one-month trial for its app China Children’s Digital Library, offering cartoons, bilingual picture e-books, and educational games for children aged between 3 to 8 years. Streaming platform iGet is also making its audio and digital content free to the public, covering topics like disease prevention, humanities and social sciences, and children’s education.
More Beijing publishing houses and cultural companies will be offering free digital content to the public.
