Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on Wednesday launched services of a sci-data bank to boost global information sharing and cooperation.

The sci-data bank is a data storage platform boasting international service capabilities for data related to scientific papers, according to the CNIC.

It involves publishing and sharing of sci-data, helping facilitate data circulation and boost global cooperation.

So far, there are seven recommended similar sci-data storage banks globally, and the CNIC sci-data bank is exclusive in China.

On Wednesday, the CNIC also launched two other sci-data public services: an open data blockchain for rights confirmation of scientific results, and an online sci-data journal for academic exchanges.

The CNIC has long been committed to gathering, managing and sharing scientific data, as well as building infrastructure and providing public services for scientific data.
