A blossom of Rhodoleia championii flowers is expected in the Wutong Mountain around the Spring Festival which falls on Feb. 12 this year.
Every year, people could enjoy clouds of Rhodoleia championii flowers from late January to late February.
Visitors shall keep a distance from the flowers because they are so attractive to bees.
Rhodoleia championii, the Hong Kong rose, is a species of plant in the family Hamamelidaceae. It is a small evergreen tree with dangling scarlet flowers that are pollinated primarily by birds, and is found in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam.
