Gui Fan, president of BICC and project director for the Interactive Learning Center of Chinese Character, summarized the Center's research and development achievements in 2021, and expounded on how to apply those achievements to promote cultural communication.

Experts also shared their views on Chinese character design, cross-cultural communication and inheriting Chinese character culture.

Chen Nan, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University said that in addition to education and academic research, culture can also be disseminated and exchanged in more creative ways. For instance, traditional Chinese culture can be better promoted by adding creative designs to Chinese characters.

Richard Sears, better known as "Uncle Hanzi" in China, has devoted the last two decades of his life to researching Chinese characters. He said that every Chinese character has a story, and he is very happy that he can share these stories with Chinese children and foreigners alike.
