Liao Zhi, a dance teacher from Deyang in Sichuan province, lost her 10-month-old daughter and both of her legs in the devastating earthquake. Despite all odds, she is grateful for her second chance at life and has participated in various public welfare activities.
The 37-year-old now lives in Chongqing, where she founded a rehabilitation studio for amputees to help people with physical disabilities install prosthetic limbs and assist them in their physical and mental recovery.
