The National Communication Center for Science and Technology, located in Beijing's Chaoyang district, has officially opened to the public on June 12. Visitors can now schedule free group visits from Monday to Saturday by appointment.
The center features four exhibitions. These exhibitions showcase the history of China's sci-tech advancement, the development of ecological civilization, a collection of sci-tech-themed postal stamps issued since the founding of the People's Republic of China, and the significant contributions of individuals toward boosting sci-tech innovation in the country.
Spanning a construction area of 62,640 square meters, the center is situated next to the China Science and Technology Museum and is connected to it via a bridge facility. It also houses the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientists.
The center aims to provide a national-level portal to China's sci-tech prowess and spirit and establish itself as a national public service platform for science and culture.
The center's exhibitions are open from Monday to Saturday, and group reservations are accepted for parties of 10 or more individuals aged 12 and above.
