The 19th CYLC Central Committee, consisting of 170 members and 129 alternate members, was elected at the congress.

It passed a resolution on the report of the 18th CYLC Central Committee and a resolution on the revision of the CYLC Constitution.

It was noted at the congress that the CYLC should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fully implement the guiding principles established at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The CYLC congress stressed that the league must focus on the fundamental task of nurturing capable young people who will join and carry on the socialist cause. It should facilitate the growth and development of young people, and consolidate and expand the patriotic united front among the nation's youth.

The CYLC is a mass youth organization under the leadership of the CPC. According to statistics released by the CYLC Central Committee in May, the CYLC had over 73.58 million members at the end of 2022.

The congress was attended by nearly 1,500 delegates from across the country and different walks of life. During the congress, they shared their work experiences and exchanged views on the development of youths.

Noting that league staff should take up the responsibility of rallying young people's support and pooling their strength for the Party, Pi Huilan, secretary of the CYLC committee of Wuhan, Hubei Province, vowed to better solve problems for youngsters in daily work.

Yu Jiajia, secretary of the CYLC committee of Chongqing University, said that CYLC organizations at colleges should exert efforts in cultivating a new generation of youngsters who can withstand all types of tough challenges.
