Between the start of the year and June 26, Beijing managed 8 million inbound and outbound passenger trips, up 290% from the same period last year. In June, the daily average of inbound and outbound passenger trips reached 50,000.

Both major airports in the city, the Beijing Capital International Airport and the Beijing Daxing International Airport, have received significantly more international flights in 2024.

The Beijing Capital International Airport has handled over 6 million inbound and outbound passenger trips so far this year, marking a 160% increase compared to same period of last year. Meanwhile, the Beijing Daxing International Airport has seen over 2 million inbound and outbound passenger trips, 3.7 times that of last year.

With the arrival of the summer vacation period and the introduction of new flight routes, the daily inbound and outbound passenger trips at the Daxing airport are expected to reach 15,000, with peak days seeing up to 18,000 trips.

To ensure security and smooth customs clearance operations, the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection plans to conduct dynamic monitoring and deployment, according to the authority.

The station also advises tourists to familiarize themselves with the inbound and outbound policies of their destination countries and to call the hotline at 12367 for further assistance.
