A grand celebration was held at the Qingcheng Palace of the Xiannong Altar in Beijing on Wednesday to commemorate the successful inscription of the Beijing Central Axis as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Representatives from 15 heritage sites, along with participating organizations and residents, gathered to celebrate the historic occasion.

The event featured various performances including light shows, a creative dance, and musicals to showcase the cultural charm of the Beijing Central Axis.

During the event, the Beijing Central Axis delegation donated three significant items from the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee to the Capital Museum for permanent collection, including the gavel used to confirm the site's inscription.

Additionally, an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the Beijing Central Axis heritage protection work was held at the Qingcheng Palace of the Xiannong Atar.

The Qincheng Palace restoration project is now complete, and the palace will open to the public at a later date. Future plans include internal exhibitions, electrical upgrades, and sanitation facilities to prepare for its eventual opening.
