To provide greater convenience to foreign tourists during the peak travel season, Beijing plans to launch the BEIJING PASS, an international card for the city's transportation system. This card will allow foreign citizens to access all rail transit systems across the city.

Currently, Beijing subway stations are conducting on-site tests in preparation for the launch of the BEIJING PASS.

As of June 1, 335 stations across 17 lines under the jurisdiction of Beijing Subway had been equipped with POS machines. Foreign passengers can use these POS machines to purchase tickets with their international bank cards.

To ensure the successful launch of the BEIJING PASS, additional on-site testing is underway at subway stations. The pass is expected to be available at seven major train stations and two airports, enabling foreign passengers to access Beijing's rail transit system.

In recent years, the transportation industry has introduced a series of measures to assist foreign tourists visiting Beijing.

The Beijing Subway company has been conducting specialized English training programs to cultivate English instructors and enhance the bilingual service capabilities of its staff.

Following the unified deployment by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, the company has also installed multilingual translation machines at eight pilot stations. These stations include Tiananmen West on Line 1 and Batong Line, Dongzhimen on Line 2, and Beijing Railway Station on Line 2.

To date, these machines, which support translation in multiple languages, have been used by visitors over 1,000 times.
