The 2024 Beijing China Art International Fair opened at Beijing Antique City on Thursday. Hundreds of cultural relics institutions from both China and abroad are showcasing treasures through both online and offline platforms.

The event, which will run until Oct. 7, features four major trading sections and three exchange activities, offering the public a unique cross-cultural experience.

Themed "Collecting: Painting a Beautiful Life Together," this year's expo brings together an array of artifacts, art masterpieces, and innovative cultural products. The main venue at Beijing Antique City will host two exhibitions: a jade masterpiece exhibition with over 80 exquisite jade carvings, highlighting the achievements and heritage of Chinese jade carving techniques; and an exhibition honoring Qi Baishi's 160th birthday, featuring more than 100 valuable paintings and calligraphy works by the renowned master.

Meanwhile, Beijing Antique City and Panjiayuan Flea Market will each host a major trading event. Hundreds of antique dealers and art institutions from across the country will present various folk artifacts, as well as offer public lectures and free appraisal services. Exhibitors from Pakistan, Nepal, Poland, and other countries have been specially invited to bring unique items to the events.

The month-long fair will also feature an online platform for trading artifacts. Over 100 global institutions and more than 20 state-owned relic shops from China will display nearly 10,000 Chinese and Western artifacts. An interactive offline experience area for the platform is also installed at Beijing Antique City to allow collectors to engage with both domestic and international exhibitions.
