"The Temple of Earth and Me" Beijing book fair, a side event of the 2024 Beijing Culture Forum, will open on Sept. 13 at Ditan Park in Beijing's Dongcheng district.

The book fair this year will cover 18,000 square meters. It will feature 10 exhibition areas, three activity zones and three service stations. More than 330 publishing institutions, bookstores and exhibitors will showcase over 400,000 book titles, a new record.

A special exhibition will focus on the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, featuring themed book displays, sales and recommendations.

The fair will also highlight books on the theme of the Beijing Central Axis, exploring its origin, development, architecture and cultural significance.

Over 140 publishing units from 15 provinces and cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, will participate. A new "Editor Recommendation" area will allow readers to meet senior editors from major publishing houses.

During the 11-day event, more than 100 cultural activities will be held, including lectures and a Mid-Autumn Festival themed book night.
