The coast guard of east China's Fujian Province on Thursday conducted routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen, according to a statement issued by the China Coast Guard.

Since the start of September, Fujian's coast guard has been utilizing a fleet of vessels to strengthen law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen, and to strengthen the management of relevant marine areas.

The patrols have effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese people engaged in the fishing industry, including those in the Taiwan region, protecting their lives and ensuring the safety of their property. The patrols have also ensured the normal order of navigation and related operations in the Xiamen-Kinmen waters.
