Concert marks 75th founding anniversary of PRC

A concert is held to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC), in Beijing, capital of China, Sept. 29, 2024. A concert was held at the Great Hall of the People on Sunday night to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Chinese President Xi Jinping, other Party and state leaders including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi and Han Zheng, as well as retired senior leaders were among the more than 3,000 people who attended the concert.

The concert featured orchestral music, choral performances, ensemble performances of traditional instruments, piano with a band, and other artistic expressions. It ended with the entire audience singing "Ode to the Motherland."

China's National Day is celebrated annually on Oct. 1.
