Several key power grid projects, including two 220-kilovolt and four 110-kilovolt facilities, were commissioned recently in Beijing, according to the State Grid Beijing Electric Power Company.
These new projects are primarily located in Chaoyang, Haidian, Shijingshan and Changping districts, enhancing the quality and reliability of power supply in these areas. They will support major transportation and scientific initiatives while meeting electricity needs for economic and livelihood projects. This boost to Beijing's power capacity aims to aid its economic growth and industrial development.
By the end of September, the company had completed 25 power grid infrastructure projects this year, adding 247 kilometers of transmission lines and increasing substation capacity by 3.19 million kilovolt-amperes. This represents a 160% year-on-year increase in the scale of completed projects.
