Luohu district has officially launched its "Smart Elderly Care Platform System," designed to optimize the use and settlement process for senior home care vouchers. This initiative aims to elevate the digital and convenient aspects of these vouchers, allowing seniors to better access elderly care services.
In line with China’s national strategy to response to population aging, this platform promotes advancements in both elderly care financing and digital finance, contributing to the growth of the "silver economy." Luohu has chosen Huangbei Subdistrict as a pilot site to implement digital renminbi (RMB) in elderly care, supporting the distribution, use, and settlement of home care vouchers in digital RMB format.
Additionally, the platform allows seniors to book home-based services online, including housekeeping, massage therapy, and medical assistance. By integrating digital finance with senior care, Luohu aims to empower elderly residents with accessible, high-quality services tailored to their needs.
