The State Grid East Inner Mongolia Electric Power Company set up a dedicated service center and a frontline post to ensure reliable power supply and services at the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup held in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.
The event was powered entirely by a wind farm, with power transmitted through the grid infrastructure spanning the Ma'anshan Forest. The green energy powered LED screens, overhead lights, and display boards at the venue, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.
In addition, the company provided electric heating for three designated hotels and the competition venue, contributing 60 million kWh of power supply.
Prior to the event, the company conducted temperature monitoring, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency drills. During the competitions, equipment operations were monitored 24 hours a day to keep all power facilities in optimal conditions.
A total of 205 workers, 52 vehicles, six emergency power vehicles, and one uninterruptible power supply vehicle were deployed to ensure reliable power supply throughout the competitions.
