A series of activities will be held in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to celebrate the upcoming New Year and Spring Festival holidays, marking the 10th anniversary of the region's coordinated development strategy, according to a press conference Monday.

For the first time, Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei will host a synchronized New Year's Eve countdown on Dec. 31, with main venues at Beijing's Shougang Park, Tianjin's Drum Tower Square, and Hebei's Zhengding Ancient City.

Additionally, the three regions will collaborate to produce special Spring Festival gala programs, which will air during prime time from the first to the third day of the 2025 Chinese lunar calendar, featuring diverse cultural performances.

The festive celebrations will also feature temple fairs in iconic locations, such as Beijing's Ditan Temple Fair and Tianjin's Dule Temple Fair, showcasing regional cuisine, folk art, and traditional crafts.

Winter sports enthusiasts can also enjoy a wide array of winter activities, featuring premier ski resorts and curated tourism routes.

Following Beijing's Central Axis being named a UNESCO World Heritage site, 30 historical and cultural tour routes across 15 world heritage sites in the three regions will allow visitors to explore rich traditions and festive customs.

In addition, more than 400 exhibitions and six museum-themed tour routes will offer culturally immersive ways to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

Artists and performers will also bring community celebrations to towns and villages, delivering cultural performances, writing Spring Festival couplets, and sharing holiday blessings. These initiatives aim to foster a strong sense of community and enrich the festive atmosphere.
