As of Dec, 23, Hefei Port in Anhui province, China welcomed at least 22,000 foreign visitors in 2024, marking an increase of over 200% compared to 2023.

Data reveal that most foreigners traveling through Hefei Port came from more than 30 countries and regions, including the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Japan, and Germany. The majority of these visitors have been in Hefei for tourism and business purposes.

With the expansion of China's visa-free policies, Anhui province has witnessed a steady rise in foreign visitors.

The Hefei Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station has implemented a series of measures to enhance the convenience for foreign travelers.

"We prepare in advance based on flight forecasts regarding foreign visitors, arrange officers proficient in foreign languages to improve guidance services, and add inspection channels as needed," said Wang Zhigang, a senior officer at the station.

In 2024, at least 30 foreign visitors received 24-hour temporary entry permits to ensure their prompt and smooth transit.
