The concert opened with a rendition of "Jasmine Flower" performed by a female choir accompanied by the musical saw, played masterfully by intangible cultural heritage inheritor Li Yuanqing.
According to Li, the event aimed to promote and preserve the endangered art of the musical saw. By integrating elements of eastern and western music, the concert sought to inspire greater appreciation and understanding of traditional culture among the public.
A highlight of the evening was Li's dynamic performance of "Sabre Dance", which combined striking and bowing techniques. His unique interpretation brought out the piece’s energy and passion, leading the audience to a rousing climax. The event also featured Miao singer Yang Zutao from Guizhou.
