Beijing Daxing International Airport recently received six awards from the Airports Council International (ACI) in 2024.
These awards include the best airport for passenger throughput between 25 million and 40 million, the most convenient, cleanest, and most pleasant airport in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the airport with the most dedicated staff.
The airport also received its first ACI World Director General's Roll of Excellence award since it opened in 2019.
The ACI annual awards are considered among the most prestigious accolades in the industry.
Daxing airport has introduced paperless services for both domestic and international trips, improving efficiency and reducing travel time by 15 to 30 minutes on average. New security standards have been implemented, with two dedicated security channels for faster processing. The airport's transport infrastructure has also been enhanced, with the Huairou-Daxing Intercity Railway connecting Langfang North to Daxing airport in just 15 minutes.
Additionally, for international travelers, Daxing airport has introduced a Wi-Fi login system that allows passport authentication. It has also set up a service counter, providing a one-stop solution for various needs such as inquiries, ticket purchases, car rentals, and communication services.
The airport expanded its network in 2024. It now handles over 220 flight routes and connects to more than 200 domestic and international destinations, covering nearly 30 countries in Europe and Asia. New international routes have also been resumed or added, including Sydney, Melbourne, Sapporo, Almaty, Bishkek, Dhaka, Tehran, and Vientiane.
