Luohu has implemented nearly 80 AI-powered applications across governance, urban management, education, and healthcare, according to the AI Application Industry Exchange and AI-Empowered Governance Launch Event in Luohu on March 27.
The event showcased its latest innovations in artificial intelligence and smart city development, featuring featured live demonstrations, expert discussions, and new partnership agreements aimed at enhancing AI-driven public services.
At the Luohu Government Service Center, AI-empowered holographic customer service agents and smart robots provide real-time guidance. Businesses can use an AI-assisted form-filling tool to generate application materials in just 15 minutes, while an AI-powered verification system has reduced processing times by over 30%.
In urban management, Luohu has deployed an integrated aerial and ground surveillance network using drones and vehicle-mounted patrol systems, enhanced by advanced computer vision models. This enables real-time identification of urban issues. In education, the district has built an AI-empowered learning ecosystem with 22 smart education applications. In healthcare, Luohu People's Hospital has integrated AI-driven services, including smart triage, medical insurance assistance, and chronic disease management, through its public WeChat platform.
During the event, Luohu signed cooperation agreements with 12 leading AI companies, including Huawei, Megvii, Baidu AI Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud, reinforcing its commitment to building an AI-powered digital government innovation framework. The district also launched the Luohu AI Industry Alliance to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors.
To support AI development, Luohu is establishing a computing power center and a language data center to meet the industry's growing needs. The district will deploy six pre-trained AI models, including DeepSeek and Alibaba Qwen, to help businesses with model training, inference, and customized applications. Additionally, Luohu plans to introduce subsidies in the form of "computing power vouchers" to reduce costs for enterprises.
As one of Shenzhen's earliest developed districts, Luohu leverages its strengths in education and healthcare to build high-quality datasets for AI applications in medical imaging and smart education. Moving forward, Luohu aims to expand AI integration across public services, social welfare, and industry development, accelerating the creation of a smarter, more efficient, and livable urban environment.
