An event aimed to raise awareness for the autism community recently took place at Cuihu Sports and Cultural Park in Luohu.

Shenzhen Tongda, a retail company with a longstanding commitment to supporting children with autism, made a notable contribution by donating a vocational embroidery workshop — valued at 800,000 yuan — to Luohu's Xingyuan School.

At the new workshop, children will receive professional instruction and gain hands-on experience using embroidery tools to create handmade crafts. The embroidery activities are designed to improve students' fine motor skills and physical coordination while also nurturing their creativity and imagination. Through the process of crafting, children are encouraged to explore their unique potential and develop a stronger sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.

Ma Aihua, deputy director of the Luohu District Education Bureau, emphasized the importance of continued societal involvement. She expressed hope that children with autism and their families would continue to receive increased attention and support from all corners of society. Ma also called on everyone to remain engaged and work together across sectors to foster the growth, inclusion, and well-being of children with autism.
