The year 2010 was a milestone in the development of legal system. As of 2010, a total of 236 national laws, more than 690 administrative regulations, and more than 8,600 local laws and regulations had been enacted. China has established a comprehensive socialist legal system that governs all sectors of social life and provides a legal basis for the country's economic and social construction.
