Actor Chen Daoming, with a focus on the film industry, says cultural development is as important as economic growth.
He explains that screenwriters, actors and actresses, and staff in charge of marketing and promotion of a film should have competent levels of knowledge and elegancy, to push the healthy development of the film industry.
He points out the current censorship system has indirectly encouraged the production of some low-taste films.
He also calls for a rating system in films and TV shows to better regulate the industry.
