Taiwan's share prices closed lower on Wednesday with the weighted index falling 64.59 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 7,700.43, according to news reaching here from Taipei.

The local bourse fluctuated between 7,700.43 and 7,769.18 during the day's trading. Turnover totaled 83.44 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.88 billion U.S. dollars) during the trading session. Endi
