Macao's gaming revenues in January this year increased by 7.3 percent year-on-year to 26.86 billion patacas (about 3.76 billion U.S. dollars), the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) announced Friday.

The date indicated that the income went down about 5 percent compared with last December, when the gaming income hit new monthly record in history.

Macao is the only place in China where gambling is legal, with 35 casinos, 5,485 gaming tables and 16,585 slot machines by the end of the fourth quarter last year. Endi
